The Williams Sisters Want In On the Dolphins
The sisters and tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams began negotiations to become the partial owners of the professional NFL betting team, the Miami Dolphins.
“There have been preliminary talks, and hopefully it’ll work out”, said Serena Williams after her victory in the second round in the tennis tournament.
If the Williams sisters manage to acquire a partnership role in the Miami Dolphins they will be alongside musicians like Jimmy Buffett, Marc Anthony, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, who this very year will become minority share owners in the NFL betting team. The new owner of the Dolphins, Stephen Ross, also has a partnership with Jimmy Buffett.
Buffett, owner of Margaritaville Enterprises, signed a deal that will change the name of the Dolphins’ stadium to adopt the name of his LandShark Lager beer for this season.
The Williams sisters live in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, approximately a one hour drive to the Dolphins Studium. Their participation will be significant because the NFL has yet to have any team whose majority shareholders are African American.
A spokesperson for the Dolphins said the team will not make any comments for the moment concerning the announcement until next week when the announcement is finally made. What has been made clear is that the Dolphins reflect the diversity of south Florida and shows that the franchise is very loved by the community, and especially by the local celebrities.
The Williams sisters aren’t exactly football odds fans, however they still see this as an excellent opportunity to promote themselves in the process.
