It may not be sexy but it’s important: Ravens at Packers

It may not be sexy but it’s important Ravens at PackersThere have been a lot sexier matchups on Monday Night football betting this season and this week’s contest won’t draw near the viewers as the week 12 showdown between the Saints and Pats. But when the Green Bay Packers host the Baltimore Ravens in week 13 it will be the most important of Monday Night game of the year to date.

This wild card desperation at its finest and both teams desperately need to win to ensure that their hopes of making the playoffs are not dashed. Green Bay (7-4) must win to keep pace with the New York Giants and maintain their claim to the second wild card berth.  Baltimore’s (6-5) situation is even more dire and must win this Monday Night football odds contest simply to remain within one game of the second wild card berth.

So fear not, there will be plenty of pressure on all sides in this Monday Night football betting. The home team has a definite advantage as its record on the frozen tundra of Labeau Field in December over the past decade is an impressive 18-4.  That stat may be the one that trumps all the others. The Ravens are a cold weather team, however, and the elements will not be so much a problem as the raucous crowd.

But the nod still goes to the Cheeseheads.  Packers QB Aaron Rogers is one the top five in the league and has been getting better with every game this year.  The Ravens defense is not what it once was and Rogers should have big passing game against a depleted secondary. Take the Packers to win this one.
