Monday Night is the Biggest Stage in FootballShort of the playoffs there is no bigger stage in the NFL than Monday Night Football betting. Players love it because it them a chance to play in front of national audience and their peers. Fans love it because it breaks up the monotony of Monday, the longest day of the week. Cowboys Prove that the Panthers Really Are That BadFor any diehard Panther fan or Jake Delhomme apologists out there who had hopes that a win in Monday Night Football betting versus the visiting Cowboys would redeem the team’s season, Monday night’s debacle must have been a swift blow to the kidneys.

After four quarters of football in Charlotte there should be little doubt that the Panthers are an awful team and Delhomme should be looking for a second career. The Monday Night Football betting favored the Cowboys, but nobody expected things to get as ugly as they did. Read more…

Colts-DolphinsMonday Night Football betting closing up Week 2 of the 2009 regular season features the Indianapolis Colts as they fly to Miami to face the Dolphins. The Colts are a 3 point road favorite here, and Miami is not looking to give them an easy game. No team likes to start off the season 0-2, and the Dolphins have already chalked up one loss handed to them by the Atlanta Falcons.

Peyton Manning had already dealt the Jaguars a defeat, passing for 301 yards, starting off their regular season with a win, and it’s always good to start off a season on the right foot. Look for them to put their next best foot forward in Monday Night Football odds for Week 2. Read more…

Monday Night Massacre: Cowboys at Panthers

Monday Night Massacre Cowboys at PanthersOn paper this is one of the rare Monday Night Football betting games in the ultra-competitive NFL that appears to be a blow out in the making. Actually, you could say that about just about any Carolina match up this season, but the Cowboys are a talented team coming off a tough loss which they will be quite hungry to avenge against a pathetic Panthers team.

Granted the Panthers looked much better in their week two loss than in their week one debacle. Jake Delhomme bounced back with over 300 yards in the air and limited cut his INT production by 75% (1 INT). The offense even moved the ball with some regularity with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathon Stewart putting up healthy numbers.

But even with a pretty good offensive showing the team was never really in this game. The defense was helpless and they’ll probably look that way again against a talented Cowboys offense in the Monday Night Football betting. Read more…

Week Two Monday Night Action: Colts at Dolphins

Week Two Monday Night Action: Colts at DolphinsThe Colts-Dolphins Monday Night football betting matchup is intriguing. After ugly performances by both in week one fans aren’t quite sure just how good –or how bad- these teams are. And apparently the bookmakers aren’t either as Indy is favored by the slimmest of margins (+3) on the road.

The Dolphins were the feel-good story of the year last season. They were also aided by the easiest NFL schedule ever devised. In week one this team was humiliated by a very good Falcons team. Coach Sparano and his staff have numerous adjustments to make and they will be made. But the jury is still out as to whether or not the team has enough talent to win on a regular basis. Read more…
