Packers and the Super Bowl

December 9th, 2009 J. Corens No comments

Packers and the Super BowlIt’s hard to know just how good the Baltimore Ravens are.  This team has been up and down all season but not matter how you rate this team you can’t help but be impressed with how the Green Bay Packers handled them on Monday Night football betting.

On paper that could have been a very even matchup.  Baltimore with its stout defense, effective running game and emerging offense was expected to put up a solid fight against the Pack Attack.  But it’s didn’t play out that way in the Monday Night football betting.

Thursday Night Football the new Monday Night Football…Sort of

November 20th, 2009 J. Corens No comments

It used to be that NFL football action meant Sunday afternoons. And the games strayed into Monday Nights as well. And then into Sunday nights. But the evolution of the league hasn’t stopped there and now we have games on Saturday nights late in the season and there’s now even multiple options for week night NFL action thanks to the Thursday games.

No longer does Monday Night football betting dominate the week night wagering line up. In fact, the Monday Night football odds have been gradually losing their hold over the football betting public over the past few years and it’s no longer the grand event it once was. Read more…

Steelers Looked Like Complete Team in Monday Night Win

Chargers Steelers FootballMonday Night Football betting matchups are always exciting but for the slightly deranged nation of Pittsburgh Steelers fans the week nine matchup was a thing of beauty. And for the diehard Denver fans there could hardly have been a more complete and thorough dose of heartbreak.

The Broncos are one of the better teams in the NFL; they’ve proved that time and time again during the first two months of season. But in the latest Monday Night Football odds matchup the Steelers make them look foolish.

AP Offensive Player FootballIt’s been a long, long time since a New Orleans versus Atlanta match up was of any interest to the general football public, but tonight’s match up in the Monday Night football betting couldn’t be any bigger.

With the Saints undefeated (7-0) and the Falcons (4-2) fielding one the best teams in franchise history this season, this game is huge.

Monday Night football betting is almost always interesting and tonight’s game is no different.

The early line lists the Saints as an almost unbelievable 11½ point favorite in the Super Dome. Granted the Saints are the best team in the NFL, of that there is little argument. And it’s also true that the Falcons are coming off a humbling defeat on the road in Dallas. Read more…

Dolphins Looking for Different Result on 2nd Monday Game

October 12th, 2009 J. Corens No comments

The Miami Dolphins are a better team than their 1-3 record indicates and have generally played well in Monday Night Football betting. The team lost one of the weirdest games in memory several weeks ago in their last Monday Night Football betting match when, despite controlling the ball for 45 minutes, failed to get the W. The Fins would love to avenge that loss but against a surging Jets team it won’t be easy.

This Monday Night Football odds match up will be more than just two teams playing on national TV, it will also be a battle for AFC East positioning. The Dolphins must get a win while to keep pace with the division leading Jets.

Miami has had a rough start partly because of some bad luck and partly because it doesn’t have much talent on the offense. No team gets more out of its game than the Dolphins and if this squad doesn’t play near perfect ball, it will lose.
