This is a much bigger Monday Night Football betting game than many people are aware of.  In fact, this may be the more important games of the week in terms of deciding a division title.  The Cardinals (8-4) are currently in first place in the NFC West with a healthy three-game lead over the Niners (5-7).  But a San Fran win here put a whole complexion on this division race.

True, three games is a stout lead, especially with less than a month of football left to play and the odds of the Niners winning are not the healthiest.  But if the home team can win this Monday Night football betting matchup things would get very interesting in the NFC West.

There have been a lot sexier matchups on Monday Night football betting this season and this week’s contest won’t draw near the viewers as the week 12 showdown between the Saints and Pats. But when the Green Bay Packers host the Baltimore Ravens in week 13 it will be the most important of Monday Night game of the year to date.

This wild card desperation at its finest and both teams desperately need to win to ensure that their hopes of making the playoffs are not dashed. Green Bay (7-4) must win to keep pace with the New York Giants and maintain their claim to the second wild card berth.  Baltimore’s (6-5) situation is even more dire and must win this Monday Night football odds contest simply to remain within one game of the second wild card berth.

There is no bigger game this week in the NFL than the game between the 10-0 Saints and the 7-3 Pats.  In fact, there will no bigger Monday Night football betting game this season than New England and New Orleans in the Super Dome.

This game is so big that it might actually live up to the hype. The teams are very similar in that they both run high octane offenses that put up a tone of points.  Both teams are lead by outstanding QBs as well with Tom Brady and Drew Brees promising to punish their opponent’s defenses.

On offense it’s almost a wash.  There should be plenty of points hung the board in this Monday Night football odds clash of the titans.  Both QBs stretch the field when the opportunity is there but they both make there livings dumping balls underneath as well to make up for a lack of between the tackle running game. There’s nothing better than division rivalries in Monday Night Football betting, especially in the second half of the season when teams are jostling for playoff positioning.
