Denver Will Have its Hands Full on MondayThe clock struck midnight during week eight of the NFL season and the Cinderella story came to a halt just before Monday Night Football betting. No team has been more surprising or had a more difficult time getting respect this season than the Denver Broncos.

With its first loss coming last week at the hands of the Ravens this team last week the world is watching to see how this team will rebound.

Too bad its rebound game is a Monday Night football betting contest against a rabid Steelers defense and the surprisingly potent passing game led by Big Ben. Read more…

New Orleans Claims the NFC South as Its Own

New Orleans Claims the NFC South as Its OwnFor anyone Monday Night Football betting on the Saints/Falcons game that thought the Saints weren’t the best team in the NFC South, you stand corrected. But aside from correcting those seven Atlanta fans that actually thought the Saints would lose at home, this game served important notice to the rest of the league that the Falcons, despite the mediocre record a team to be reckoned with.

The Saints offense was once again in top form in this terrific Monday Night Football betting matchup, but once again it was the defense forcing turnovers that made the difference in this game.

New Orleans’ offense gets all the credit but when the team needs it the most it’s been the defense, especially the secondary (just like in week 8’s Monday Night football odds action), that has come up big with not just a turnover, but in many cases a score.

That was the difference in the game against the Falcons. Read more…

The Redskins really are that bad.

The Redskins really are that bad.Monday night football betting at the home of hated NFC East rival Philly, the Redskins definitively proved to the world –as if any doubters remained- that they are an awful team.

There is simply no other way to put it.  The team’s offense terribly incompetent and any hope of a playoff hope was put to rest as the Eagles rolled to a 27-17 victory on the road.

There may have been a time when diehard Skins fans thought there was still reason for hope this year but the Monday Night Football betting result should dash those thoughts.  Not only does the loss run the team’s overall record to 2-5 which is basically a death knell in itself, but the team is also now 0-2 in the division and three games out of the division race. Things Will Only Get Worse for the Skins against Philly

Things Will Only Get Worse for the Skins against PhillyAs if things weren’t bad enough for the Washington Redskins, the team has to play the hated Eagles on Monday Night Football betting in front of a live national audience. There are a million reasons why the ‘Skins will get trounced tonight and very few reasons to think they’ll win. But stranger things have happened and as they say: “that’s why they play the game.”

After averaging just 13 points a game no one could argue that head coach Jim Zorn’s play calling was effective. Bringing in a new play caller for the Skins Monday Night Football betting was probably a good idea, but Sherm Edwards? He wasn’t even a good play caller when he was around the game every day. But coming out of retirement to try and direct the mess in Washington seems preposterous.

Even more preposterous was the beat down that Philly got last week from a rotten Raiders team and that can only give the ‘Skins hope in this Monday Night Football odds matchup. Read more…

Miami Wildcats Run Over Jets on Monday Night

October 14th, 2009 Douglas Rogers No comments

Miami Wildcats Run Over JetsThe Miami Dolphins got off to an incredibly bad start to the 2009 NFL season and with the most difficult schedule in the league there are no ‘off’ weeks for this team, and last Monday Night Football betting match was not easy.

But instead of wallowing in self pity and looking ahead to next year this team has dug in and pulled itself back into the AFC East hunt with a last second win over the division leading New York Jets.

The Jets were favored heading into this Monday Night football betting match up and with good reason. They have one of the best defenses in the league and an offense led by an impressive QB with a new pro bowl WR starting on the outside.

But the Dolphins style of ‘ground it out football’ was too much for the Jets defense which was literally ‘run over’ by the Dolphins in the Monday Night Football odds. Read more…
